Book your session

You will receive a questionnaire to fill out ahead of your session, this will ask questions about your pets temperament, their likes and dislikes, and which images from the website are your favorite so we know what to aim for in the session.
The day of the session
This is where the magic happens. Leave all worries and expectations at the door and just enjoy yourself.
The viewing appointment
Held at my home studio in Barleythorpe, Rutland, this is where the much-anticipated image reveal happens. You choose your favorites and then I will walk you through all of your different frame options as you decide how you would most like to display your images, often through a combination of wall art and digital files.

What is included in my session fee
- A session of up to 60 minutes
- Travel up to 15 miles from Oakham, Rutland
- All dogs from within the same household
- Viewing and ordering showcase in my studio in Barleythorpe
- 16 inch framed print of your choice from my beautiful collection (ex Fine Art/Acrylic)
My dog won’t sit still
They don’t need to sit still, the outdoor sessions are all about exploring and finding new sniffs. When we do decide to take a few portraits of them they only need to stay there for a second, quite literally and we can get the shot.
Plus I have a whole arsenal of noisemakers like whistles, squeakers, and duck calls to keep your dogs attention. We can also keep the lead on so you have a little more control, I will just remove it later in post-production.
If you would like to bring your dog’s favorite toy along with you and have photos of them playing then we can, of course, include this in the shot and it keeps them interested in the session and having fun.
You can also get involved and have a photo with your dog, they are more likely to stay if you are with them because as we all know, to your dog you are the best thing in their world.
Where will we go for our Dogs Photoshoot
Living in the beautiful county of Rutland we are blessed with so many stunning locations for your dog’s photoshoot.
Rutland Water is one of my favorite locations to visit, in fact, all of the images on this page have been taken in and around Rutland Water. There is such a variety of backdrops here and with the changing seasons, there is so much to see.
If you don’t live in Rutland but would like your photoshoot here then why not make a day of it, I am happy to recommend places to visit and to go for lunch before or after your session, and best of all Rutland is well known as a dog-friendly county.
Of course, if you would like to have your pet portrait session somewhere else I can travel to you. I include travel up to 15 miles of Rutland but can travel UK wide.
“Amanda is so warm and welcoming, even my aloof dachshund took to her. The session was so easy and relaxed and I believe Ramsey even enjoyed showing off. Having to decide on which pictures was awful….I wanted them all, but again with Amanda’s expert guidance, I was able to pick out my favorites. that then leaves when they arrived… words fail me, the quality of the prints are beyond words, superb, magnificent just isn’t enough. I can honestly say I have never seen such quality photos. .”
Wall art is the finishing touch in any home. Why settle for yawn-worthy prints from the internet when you could adorn your walls with your favorite four-legged family member.
Choose from a variety of contemporary, rustic, or traditional wall art options. Whether you decide on one single, breathtaking piece or a multi-image wall gallery, it’s sure to make a statement.
Limited on space? You can also opt for an image box that will showcase your beloved images for decades to come.
Digital files are also an option, of course, but I recommend them as a complement to tangible artwork you can enjoy every day, no scrolling required or trying to remember where you saved them.
Prices start from £145 for a beautiful framed print.
